Hello HYF&C Parents
The following is important information for the start of the season.
On July 31st there is a mandatory parent meeting for field football and field cheer parents. Field Football will meet at 6:00 on the Field Cheer will meet at 6:45 on the turf. If you are unable to attend due to a family vacation please contact your child’s coordinator. Do not drop your child off and leave. This is not a practice night. We will not start practice until August 1st.
Uniform Hand Out
You will not receive a uniform until your registration is paid in full. For football you must supply a check made out to HYF&C for $200. This check will be returned to you at the end of the season at equipment hand in. For Cheer you must supply a check made out to HYF&C for $100. This check will be returned to you at the end of the season at equipment hand in. Following is the uniform hand out schedule for the season.
130 lb Monday July 31st at 6:45 on the field
105 lb Tuesday August 1st 6:00 on the field
80 lb Wednesday August 2nd 6:00 on the field
Field Cheer Monday July 31st 7:15 on the field bring $45 for cheer essentials ( shorts, crop top and socks)
Football players will need to purchase additional items on their own. Al full list will be available at the meeting

Flag Start of Season
There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all Flag parents on August 14th on the turf at 6:00
Uniform hand out will be at 6:30 on August 14th on the turf for flag football and cheer

In past years HYF&C has struggled to successfully staff our snack shack with parent volunteers. We realize that most families want to spend their time at the field watching their children participate in sports not serving pretzels. We’ve tried sign up genius, mandatory scheduling and Team Mom’s asking for volunteers. None of these efforts have provided us with even minimal coverage for the shack. As an organization, we do have a responsibility to provide drinks, snacks and food during all home games and practices. Starting this season, all families will be required to pay a $20 family shack fee that will enable us to have the snack shack staffed at all times. You will no longer be required to work in the shack at any point during the season.
This fee will be collected at uniform handout and can be paid by cash or check and must be paid SEPARATELY from uniform deposit checks. If you have a cheerleader and football player you will pay at your oldest football player’s uniform handout. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Many hours and seasons went into making a suitable resolution to this ongoing problem. We hope that this decision will make your experience as an HYF&C parent more enjoyable.
All Field Football and Field Cheerleaders are required to have a valid ID by Bert Bell. Our ID night is August 15th at 6:00 at the CREC. There will not be practice on this night. Players and Cheerleaders will be told by their coaches if they need an ID. You must supply an original birth certificate. If you do not have an original do not go to get an ID you will be turned away by Bert Bell. If you are not able to get an ID because you are on vacation please let your coordinator know. There will be one make up date in September. Players and cheerleaders are ineligible to participate in games unless they have a valid ID.
In the event that practice or a game were to be canceled by rain we would contact you 2 ways. First, we ask that you sign up for rainedout.com so that you can receive an alert right to your cell phone. Follow these directions:

Haverford Youth is dedicated to improving your child’s skills in a safe environment while promoting sportsmanship and fun! We know that in our community there are many options for youth football and cheerleading and we’re grateful that you have chosen us in the past! We're very excited to announce that we will be having our end of year banquet to celebrate the great job all of our players and cheerleaders did this season. The league will be paying the cost of all players and cheerleaders registered during our 2016 season. All family members are invited to attend as well. The cost is $35 per person, children 4 and under are free.

Includes lunch, sundae bar, photo booth and a few surprises!
Pre-registration and payment by January 4th is required to attend the banquet. Simply go to our website http://haverfordyouthfootball.assn.la/ and click to registration on the left hand side. There is a registration for players and a separate registration for family members. Payment cannot be made the day of the banquet.
Springfield Country Club will be unable to accommodate any walk-up registration. All attendees must be registered in advance, no exceptions.
